What to expect:

Great singing: "One of the things that impacted me from the start was the singing. You can hear that everyone's hearts are into it and that they truly enjoy worshipping God." ~ Mlu

Encouraging sermons: "The sermons are incredibly inspiring. From listening to the preacher and applying what is said to my life, I am able to change the parts of my character which are contrary to what God wants for me. The sermons encourage my spritual maturity and grow my faith" ~ Terry

Friendly people: "I've been to many different churches in the past and I've never seen a place where people are so eager to get to know one another. You can also see that people here are sincere and really have a heart to learn from one another." ~ Mlu

What is available for my kids: "Kids' Zone has the mission to make the time spent in each class the BEST hour and a half of a child’s week. This is done by instilling a knowledge and love for God that will lay the foundation for an intimate relationship with God: a relationship made to last deep into adulthood. Each class has lessons formulated to suit developmental ages and individual needs. Children’s Church is about having fun in a safe and God-focused environment." ~ Brenda

What we believe:

  1. There is only one true God who reveals himself to the world as the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. (Matthew 28:19; Ephesians 4:4-6)
  2. The whole Bible is God’s message of love for all mankind. It was inspired by the Holy Spirit and is without error. (2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:19-21; Psalm 119:160)
  3. Jesus Christ, the Son of God, is our one and only saviour. He was crucified for our sins and was physically resurrected from the dead on the third day. (John 14:6; Acts 4:12; 1 Corinthians 15)
  4. We are saved by the grace of God through the blood of Jesus. We must, through faith and obedience to God’s Word, accept this gift of salvation. (Ephesians 1:3-10; Matthew 7:21-23; James 2:14-26)
  5. As with the first Christians, when we repent and are baptised, our sins are forgiven and we receive the Holy Spirit to help us live a righteous life. (Acts 2:36-41; 1 Peter 3:21; Romans 6:3-7 and Romans 8:5-17)
  6. Every Christian has a mission to share this good news by teaching others to be disciples of Christ, by baptizing them and by continuing to help them mature in their faith. (Matthew 28:18-20; Colossians 3:16)
  7. All Church members must be encouraged to grow in their own conviction through personal Bible studies. (Acts 17:11; 2 Timothy 2:15)
  8. We must teach our children to love God and one another. We try hard to make our children's classes the highlight of their week. (Matthew 18:10-14; Mark 10:13-16; Ephesians 6:4)
  9. As disciples of Christ, we should all have a heart for the poor. We run a number of benevolent programs that allow every member to be involved. (Matthew 25:31-46; Proverbs 19:17; Galatians 2:10)
  10. We must love one another and serve one another, as Jesus did. (Matthew 20:25-28) “A new command I give you: love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” (John 13:34-35)

                      The Grad Club

                     Men's Ministry

Reach. “Every person, Every Campus & Every Nation.”
Every Person: We would like to reach every person we know with the gospel of Jesus Christ. We plan to do this by equipping every believer to have a heart for the lost, value the lost, make time for the lost and be a contagious Christian actively leading their world to Christ.
Every Campus: We believe that the future leaders of our nation are on campus right now! We therefore desire to have a cmapus ministry on every campus in our city and a large, on fire campus ministry team that is trained and provided for
Every Nation: In partnership with our every nation family we desire to raise up church leaders and teams who will start new congregations in our city or even in other nations (esp in every nation in Africa) that will be built on our values and reach, disciple and impact their community.
Disciple. “We are a disciple-making family”
Jesus commanded us to go and 'make disciples of all nations.' We therefore desire to have many connect groups meeting all over the city where believers can gather to grow in their faith. We desire every member whether young or old to be established in God's love, the foundations of the faith, be walking in freedom, faith and authentic spiritual family, being fruitful in good works, serving in teams and ministries and fulfilling the great commission wherever they find themselves.
Impact. “We are a nation building church”
We believe our mandate is to not only bring revival, but reformation too! We therefore desire to have or support many teams /ministries/organisations that are able to mobilize and organize our members into acts of service, compassion and justice so that the poor, the widows, the orphans, the prostitutes, the prisoners, the destitute, the sick, the students and the refugees in our city are shown the love of God
Our Vision: To honour God and advance His kingdom by being a healthy church that starts healthy churches.
Our Values:
Christ-centered: Jesus is the focus and head of our church
Bible-believing: We believe that the Bible is the inspired word of God and therefore the final authority on all matters of life
Spirit-empowered: We believe that the Holy Spirit empowers us to live as a witness for God in our generation
Disciple Making: Jesus said; "Go and make disciples of all nations…” (Mat 28) and that is what we want to do!
Socially responsible: Jesus has commissioned us to be salt and light to this world and so we believe in taking responsibility for our society in whatever way we can

MISSION & VISION

Here at Grace Family Church our MISSION is to:

REACH the lost
DISCIPLE the found
Engage in MISSIONS & JUSTICE

Our VISION for accomplishing this mission is through five 'G's:

GRACE
All lost people matter to God, and therefore matter to us.

Through relational evangelism, we will intentionally and patiently draw people into an ever-deepening relationship with Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour. (Luke 5:30-32; Luke 15; Matthew 18:14)

The grace of God should be reflected in the message, the spirit, and the style of all that we do. Empathy, mercy and gentleness should be reflected in our style and practice. (Galatians 6:1-3, Ephesians 2:8-9)

We should be culturally relevant while remaining doctrinally sound. This includes the concept of sensitively relating the gospel to our culture through our facility, media and the arts. (1 Corinthians 9:19-25)

The Sunday community gatherings inspire us to: celebrate the grace of God in our lives; remember God’s truth for our lives; serve the world God loves. Because of this all are encouraged to attend regularly and faithfully. (Acts 2:42-47)

GROWTH
Growth in depth and spiritual maturity: Full devotion to Jesus and His cause is normal for every believer. This includes the concepts of stewardship, servanthood, and the pursuit of Kingdom goals. (1 Kings 11:4; Philippians 2:1-11; 2 Corinthians 8:7)

Growth in number and capacity: Our church must be able to reproduce itself and model to other areas the grace God has given to us. This includes the concepts of multi-siting, church planting and resourcing, and assisting other like-minded churches. (2 Timothy 2:1-2; Matthew 28:18-29)

Growth in excellence: Excellence honours God and inspires people. This includes integrity, passion in ministry, transparency, and evaluation. (Colossians 3:17; Malachi 1:6-14; Proverbs 27:17)

GROUPS
Positive life change takes place best in the context of community. This includes the concepts of small groups, discipleship, vulnerability, and accountability. (Luke 6:12-13; Acts 2:44-47)

Every person at Grace should be known, cared for and included. This happens through the fostering of mutual care and a variety of ministries at Grace. (John 17:20-23)

GIFTS
All believers are gifted and called as a unified body of men and women stewarding their lives and spiritual gifts, which gives rise to an effective church. This includes the concepts of unity, servanthood, and ministry callings. (1 Corinthians 12 and 14;

Ephesians 4; Psalms 133:1)

Every believer should serve through being the right person for the right task for the right reason. This includes the concepts of empowerment, servant-leadership, strategic focus, and intentionality. (Nehemiah 1-2; Romans 12:8; Acts 6:2-5)

GENEROSITY
All believers are called to live generous lives, each giving sacrificially. This includes the concept of percentage, priority giving to the local church. (Malachi 3:10, 2 Corinthians 8)

A church should extend itself by ministering to the poor across cultures, as well as honouring and supporting other churches. This includes the concepts of missions and justice, social upliftment, and church unity. (2 Corinthians 9:1-3; James 2:15-16; Proverbs 19:17)

ALL IN THE SERVICE OF JOINING GOD'S MISSION TO
HEAL THE WORLD!
