Dr Brett Allison completed a Master’s degree in Chiropractic at Durban University of Technology in April 2012 and immediately joined Highway Chiropractic and began practicing full-time. He grew up in Pinetown and matriculated from Pinetown Boys High School in 2002 and is proud to have established a business in the area.
 
Dr Allison has also worked with a number of local rugby clubs as the team doctor, including Hillcrest Villagers,  UKZN Old Boys, and currently, Pinetown Raiders. He has a strong interest in working with sportsmen and women and as part of his studies completed Masters level research into the treatment and prevention of hamstring muscle injuries. This study allowed him to work with some of the region’s top runners and a team of professional soccer players.
 
On a personal level Dr Allison enjoys fitness and bodybuilding and has competed in Bodybuilding at both a novice and amateur level. This passion for the function and form of the human body and his practical experience with muscle conditioning are reflected in his work at Highway Chiropractic.
 
As a father himself, Dr Allison also enjoys working with babies and small children and has a relaxed and easy way with kids, influenced by his interactions with his own daughter.
 
Dr Allison is available full-time at Highway Chiropractic and also does corporate visits, consulting at large companies including Smith & Nephew and Beiersdorf.

Dr Brett Allison's Master's level research thesis titled, 'The effect of sacroiliac joint manipulation, combined with conventional treatment, in the management of chronic hamstring strains.'
